The color and size are good, the concept is good, but the design and quality are lacking. We had a hard time putting the cage together - you can tell it was made in China because the parts didn't fit and were not designed with any concern as to how hard it would be to assemble.

The seed guard is a great idea, but since the parts didn't fit together well there is a gap and the seeds still fall through onto the floor.

If I were to do this again I would possibly find a cage that was already assembled and buy it that way so that I could actually see the quality and design.

Also, as read in other reviews, Harvey my bird can't climb in or out of the cage, so she sits inside and squawks with the door wide open until I can get her out so that she can sit on top - then I have to do the same when she wants back inside. I thought I would be able to rig up some of her soft perches as ropes or use her ladder to help, but that doesn't work.

It is nice looking, but other than that I wouldn't recommend or buy again. Also, one of the rings that holds food/water for the top play area arrived broken away from the bar so it is just sitting on the floor of the upper play area.

All-in-all I am very displeased with the design and quality.

I bought this cage as a replacement for my cockatiel Nibbles' old cage since it was starting to crack at the bottom. I decided to go all out and get her a bigger cage since I work long hours and she doesn't get to get out of the cage for more than a couple of hours a day on average.

I really can't say anything bad about the cage itself. Very roomy for a single 'tiel, lots of room for extra perches and toys without it getting so cramped that she can't stretch her wings. The cage is very easy to keep clean, birdie poo doesn't stick to the coating as well as it does to bare metal or plastic (like her old cage). The stainless steel food dishes are also a big plus since they can be thrown in the dishwasher. Nibbles is a big fan of the perch on the top of the cage. I'm a big fan of blue too. :)

My only complaint (and it is ever so slight) is that the assembly instructions were unclear, and it took me longer than I thought it should for me to figure out how to put it together.

My birds were a bit traumatized by the move from their old cage, but adjusted within a day to this new cage. There's a solid door behind each feeder. Between that and the seed guard it does a great job of preventing food and feathers from getting all over the room. Using a cloth seed guard around the bottom of my old cage didn't help at all. Now there's very little mess. And cleaning is SO easy with the pull out litter tray and bottom grill. And love the fact that it's on wheels & can be moved so easily. Haven't put them on the play pen yet because of the dogs, but will try it at some point. If it had a compartment for food, litter, etc, it would be absolutely perfect. Love it!!!
